I wanted more than a good job. I wanted a life I could choose.

The good path

I did what I was supposed to do. I earned my electrical engineering degree. I got married. I landed a good job in Albuquerque.

On paper, I was doing well. But the commute, the routine and the corporate ladder felt like someone else's plan for my life.

The moment that changed the plan

A coworker started counting down the days to retirement. His dream was to move to Hawaii with his wife.

I remember thinking: I do not want to wait decades for permission to enjoy my life.

What school did not teach me

College taught me to be an engineer. It did not teach me how to market or sell.

So I tried things. Trading. E-commerce. Amazon FBA. Other side hustles. I spent money on courses, made mistakes and kept looking for the next thing.

May 2019: I started for real

Affiliate marketing gave me focus. I could recommend a useful product, learn to reach the right people and build a business around helping them.

In May 2019 I started publishing every week. I kept my engineering job and got up early to make videos before work. I did not feel natural on camera. I did it anyway.

March 2020: the leap

Slowly, the work added up. Content, an email list, a clearer offer and real talks with real customers.

In March 2020, just before the pandemic, I left my engineering job. We had a young daughter. It was exciting. It was also scary. I kept building.

What grew from there

I started by promoting other people's products. As people found me, they asked for my own training, coaching and tools. That led to courses, communities and software.

The products changed. The base stayed the same. Solve a real problem. Build trust. Give people a clear next step. Follow through.

Why AI is the next chapter

AI gives us a faster way to research an idea, make content, build a sales process and create software. But an app still needs a reason to exist. A sale still needs a useful offer.
