GoHighLevel · Free trial guide
The trial is easy to start and easy to waste. Here is how long it really is, what can cost money during it, and a simple 30-day plan to test it.
Here is the short answer. HighLevel's pricing page offers a 14-day free trial on any plan. Through my partner link, new customers get 30 days instead, checked October 19, 2026. Either way, billing starts on its own when the trial ends unless you cancel, and some usage fees can apply during the trial.
I use HighLevel in my own business, and this blog runs on its website and blog tools. I am also an affiliate, so if you sign up through my links I earn a commission. Below is how the trial works, a plan to use every day of it, and the exact steps to cancel if it is not a fit.
Quick answer
The standard GoHighLevel free trial is 14 days, per HighLevel's pricing page. Some partner links, including mine, offer 30 days for new customers. You get full access to the plan you pick. Billing begins automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel, and usage fees for phone, text, or third-party services may apply during the trial. Checked October 19, 2026.
How long is the GoHighLevel free trial?
It depends on where you sign up.
| Where you sign up | Trial length | Source |
|---|---|---|
| HighLevel pricing page | 14 days | gohighlevel.com/pricing |
| My partner page (new customers) | 30 days | gohighlevel.com/montoya |
Both checked October 19, 2026. Offers can change.
The pricing page FAQ says the trial gives you "full access to the features of your chosen tier." So you can build funnels, set up calendars, and test automations before you pay for a month.

My partner page says HighLevel "usually only has a 14-day trial," and that the 30 days are for new customers. You can start it here: my 30-day GoHighLevel trial (I earn a commission if you buy through this link.)
Before you start: have these ready
A little prep makes the trial count. Gather these first, so you spend the trial building, not hunting for files.
- One goal. Write down the one job you want HighLevel to do, like booking calls or following up with leads.
- Your contact list. Export it from your current tool as a CSV file.
- Your current bills. List the tools you pay for now, with the monthly price of each. You will compare at the end.
- A calendar reminder. Set it now for two or three days before the trial ends.
Which plan should you trial?
You pick a plan when you start. The trial covers that plan's features. Once your account is set up, my GoHighLevel login guide shows where to sign in next time.

- Starter, $97 a month: up to 3 sub-accounts. Best for most beginners and for testing with your own business.
- Unlimited, $297 a month: unlimited sub-accounts. For people already serving several clients.
- Agency Pro, $497 a month: adds SaaS Mode. For people who want to resell the software under their own brand.

If you are not sure, start on Starter. My GoHighLevel pricing guide explains each plan in plain words.
What can cost money during the trial
The plan itself is free during the trial. Usage is a different story. HighLevel's pricing page says usage-based fees for telecommunications or third-party services may apply during the trial. In plain words:
- Texts and calls. These are billed by usage. HighLevel's help center says LC Phone pricing matches Twilio's rates.
- Email. The pricing guide lists $0.675 per 1,000 emails.
- AI tools. Voice AI and Conversation AI have usage charges.
- Texting setup. To text US customers from a normal local number, HighLevel says you need A2P 10DLC registration, which has its own fees.
Most of these only start when you actually send texts, make calls, or use AI. Test small. If you plan to try AI phone answering, my Voice AI cost guide shows how to estimate the bill.
A simple 30-day plan to test it
The biggest trial mistake is clicking around with no goal. Give each week one job. If you have the 14-day trial, do two weeks at a time.
- Week 1: Set up the basics. Add your business info. Bring in your contacts with my guide to importing contacts from a CSV. Set up one booking calendar.
- Week 2: Build one automation. A great first one is missed call text back, which sends a text when you miss a call.
- Week 3: Try one AI tool. Test Voice AI or Conversation AI on your own phone first, with small usage.
- Week 4: Decide with facts. Did it save you time or replace a bill you pay now? If yes, keep it. If not, cancel before the trial ends.

Book the free onboarding call
This is the step most people skip. HighLevel's support page has a Trial Experience Team for people who are new, in their first 14 days or on a trial. You can book them at speakwith.us/kickoff. Go in with one clear question, such as how to set up your first calendar.
The same page lists 24/7 support for everyone.
How to cancel before you are billed
Put a reminder on your calendar two or three days before your trial ends. If you decide it is not for you, here are the steps from HighLevel's billing help article:
- Go to Agency Settings, then Billing.
- Click Want to modify/cancel your subscription?
- Click Show More in the pop-up, then Cancel Plan.
- Choose a reason, then click Next.
- Read the data loss warning and click I am sure I want to cancel.
- Give feedback (at least 30 words), then click Submit.
The same article says HighLevel cannot cancel an account managed by another agency. If you signed up through someone else's agency, ask them.
If you decide to keep it
You do not need to do anything. Your plan starts billing when the trial ends. HighLevel's pricing page says plans are month to month, and you can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel from your dashboard. If you start on Starter and later sign more clients, the FAQ says an upgrade in the middle of the month only charges the prorated difference.
One thing to know: the billing help article says downgrading your plan does not automatically cancel add-ons, Marketplace apps, phone numbers, or other paid services. If you move to a smaller plan later, check those too.
Not sure it is the right tool at all? Read my comparison of HighLevel vs ClickFunnels for affiliates before you decide. It shows where each tool fits best.
What happens to your data after you cancel

HighLevel's help center says it keeps canceled account data for 90 days, and you can reactivate in that time to get it back. Phone numbers and A2P registrations are different. They are deleted 14 days after you cancel, and you are still charged for the numbers during those 14 days. So release any numbers you do not need before you cancel.
About pausing: HighLevel's billing article says agency accounts cannot be paused or placed on hold. A Q&A further down the same article mentions a $27 a month Pause Plan. Because those two lines do not match, ask support before you count on pausing.
