Awin is an affiliate network with 30,000+ brands, and it is now the home of what used to be ShareASale. Here is how to join, how payouts work, and the settings that decide when you get paid.
Awin is an affiliate network. Brands list their affiliate programs there, and affiliates like bloggers, creators, and media sites apply to promote them.
If you used ShareASale, Awin matters even more now. On October 23, 2026, I went through Awin's pricing page and its help center. Here is how it works, how you get paid, and what changed with ShareASale.
Quick answer
Awin is an affiliate network that connects brands with affiliates. On October 23, 2026, its pricing page said affiliate partners could join with no setup fees and access 30,000+ brands. The minimum payout was $20 for USD, and Awin processes payments twice a month, on the 1st and 15th. ShareASale closed on October 6, 2025, and its partnerships moved to Awin.
What is Awin?
Awin is a network where brands run affiliate programs. You, the affiliate, apply to the brands you like. When a brand approves you, you get links. When someone buys through your link, you get a commission.
Here is the flow:
- Sign up for an Awin publisher account.
- Find brands in your niche and apply.
- Get approved and grab your links.
- Share them in helpful content.
- Get paid once your confirmed commission passes your payment threshold.
Like other networks, Awin is not one program. Each brand sets its own commission rate and decides who to approve.
Does Awin cost anything for affiliates?
On October 23, 2026, Awin's pricing page for affiliate partners said you can grow for free, with no setup fees and no hidden charges. It also said you get access to 30,000+ brands and its tracking tools.
The page for content creators and influencers said you can start at no extra cost.

So joining Awin is free for affiliates. Brands are the ones who pay to run programs.
What happened to ShareASale?
This is a big one if you used ShareASale. Awin's help center says the ShareASale platform closed on October 6, 2025.
Here is what Awin's FAQ says about the move:
- ShareASale moved to Awin to put everything under one global network.
- Publishers who met Awin's criteria got an upgrade invite by email.
- If you did not get an invite, you can register directly on Awin.
- Suspended ShareASale accounts could not be upgraded.
- You must turn on Two Step Verification to view or change your payment details on Awin.
The FAQ also says ShareASale payment statements can no longer be accessed now that the platform is closed. If you need old records, you will not find them there.
Who got the invite? The FAQ says publishers approved by Awin's quality team who met at least one of these: registered after January 2023, had clicks or sales since January 1, 2024, or had five or more approved partnerships.
If your account was upgraded, here is what the FAQ says happened:
- Your partnerships moved over. You do not need to reapply to your existing programs.
- Your terms stayed the same. Commission rates, cookie periods, and other conditions did not change unless the brand changed them.
- Brands got new IDs. Each upgraded brand has a new Awin ID in place of its old ShareASale Merchant ID.
- Some brands are missing. If you cannot find one, it likely did not finish the upgrade. Brands that moved to Awin early also need you to join them by hand.
- Pending commissions were finalized. Eligible ShareASale commissions are paid from your ShareASale balance, even amounts below the threshold.
- Your old Payoneer setup does not carry over. You need to set up Payoneer again through Awin. You can use the same email address.
How Awin pays affiliates
Here is what the help center said on October 23, 2026.
Payment threshold. Awin makes every publisher set a minimum payment threshold. This is how much confirmed commission you need before you get paid. The minimums are:
- $20 for USD payments
- £20 for GBP and €20 for Euro payments
- The same as $20 for other currencies
If you never set a threshold, Awin uses a default. For USD, the default is 50. So set your own if you want to be paid sooner.

Payment dates. Awin processes payments twice a month, on the 1st and the 15th. If a date falls on a weekend, payment goes out the next working day.
- The 1st covers commission approved by brands up to the 15th of the month before.
- The 15th covers commission approved up to the end of the month before.
Prefer one payment a month? You can choose to be paid only on the 15th.
Payment methods. The ShareASale move FAQ says Awin pays by ACH to US bank accounts and through Payoneer to bank accounts outside the US.

How to set your threshold
The help center gives these steps:
- Log in to Awin.
- Go to Account, then Payment Details.
- Scroll to the Bank Details section.
- Pick your threshold and how often you want to be paid.
If your balance does not reach the threshold by the 15th or the last day of the month, it rolls over to the next cycle. You do not lose it.
How to get approved by brands
Brands decide who joins their program. Here is what helps:
- Have real content first. A site or channel with helpful posts on the brand's topic.
- Fill out your profile. Say who your audience is and how you promote.
- Apply to brands that fit. A cooking blog applying to a kitchen brand makes sense. Applying to everything does not.
- Be clear about disclosure. Awin's pricing page FAQ mentions an ad disclosure tool. Always tell people when a link is an affiliate link.
Awin for content creators
Awin also has a page just for content creators and influencers. It said Instagram creators can connect their account to get set up. It also mentioned an app to manage your partnerships from anywhere.
Its FAQ says you can promote brands on any social network. On Instagram and TikTok, you can add affiliate links to your bio or video content. On Facebook and YouTube, you can put links in the description of your post or video. Awin also points creators to its Link Builder and MasterTag tools to make links.
Is Awin good for beginners?
It can be. Joining is free, the minimum payout is low, and there are a lot of brands to pick from. That is a good mix when you are just starting.
The hard part is approval. Each brand decides on its own, and brands often look at your content first. So build a small base of helpful posts or videos, then apply to a few brands that fit your topic.
One more tip: only the account owner can update payment details on Awin. If someone helps you run your account, make sure you set up the payment side yourself.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Leaving the default threshold. Set your own if you want smaller, faster payouts.
- Forgetting Two Step Verification. You need it to see or edit payment details.
- Keeping dead ShareASale links. Replace them with Awin links.
- Expecting pay right after a sale. The brand has to approve the commission first. Then it goes into the next payment cycle.
