ElevenLabs Pricing: Every Plan and What Credits Buy

AI Tools · ElevenLabs

ElevenLabs runs on credits. Once you know what a credit buys, picking a plan gets easy. Here is every plan and the math.

ElevenLabs is an AI voice tool. People use it for voiceovers, audiobooks, YouTube videos, and voice clones. The pricing page looks busy, though, because everything runs on credits.

On October 22, 2026, I went through the ElevenLabs pricing page and its pricing FAQ. Here is what each plan costs, what your credits really buy, and how to avoid paying for more than you use.

Quick answer

ElevenLabs has a Free plan at $0 with 10,000 credits a month. Paid plans are Starter at $6, Creator at $22, Pro at $99, Scale at $299, and Business at $990 per month, plus custom Enterprise pricing. Paying yearly costs 10 months of the monthly price. Until Nov 1, Starter is $1 for the first month. Creator is $11 for the first month. Checked October 22, 2026.

  • Starter: $6 per month, with 30k credits. Until Nov 1, the first month is $1.
  • Creator: $22 per month, with 121k credits. The first month is $11.
  • Pro: $99 per month, with 600k credits.

The page also says, "Prices exclude all taxes, levies and duties." So your bill may be a little higher where you live.

There are also ElevenAgents and ElevenAPI tabs on the pricing page. Those are for voice agents and developers. This guide covers the main creator plans.

What each plan adds

Free

Free lets you try Text to Speech, Speech to Text, Sound Effects, Voice Design, Music, and more, with 3 projects in Studio. It does not include a commercial license.

Starter

Starter adds a commercial license, Instant Voice Cloning, 20 projects in Studio, music commercial use, and Dubbing Studio. For most people who want to use the audio in a business, this is the first plan that makes sense.

Creator

Creator adds Professional Voice Cloning and the option to buy extra credits. Pro voice cloning is the higher quality clone made from more of your own recordings.

Pro

Pro adds 44.1kHz PCM audio output through the API and 192kbps quality audio. That matters most if you are building an app or need studio quality files.

Scale and Business

These are for teams. Scale has 3 workspace seats and 3 Professional Voice Clones. Business has 10 seats, 10 Professional Voice Clones, and low latency speech "as low as 5c/minute."

How credits work

This is the part that confuses people. Every plan gives you a pool of credits each month. All the products share that one pool.

The FAQ says, "All products draw from one shared monthly credit pool." So if you spend credits on music, you have fewer left for voiceovers.

For speech, the rule is simple. With the V2 Multilingual models, one text character costs one credit. Some faster models cost between 0.5 and 1 credit per character through the API.

What a credit buys

Here are the approximate costs from the FAQ:

  • Text to Speech: 1 credit per character.
  • Speech to Text: 330 credits per minute.
  • Music: 900 credits per minute.
  • Sound Effects: 200 credits per generation.
  • Voice Changer and Voice Isolator: 1,000 credits per minute.
  • Dubbing: 2,000 to 10,000 credits per minute, depending on the type and watermark.

How many minutes of voice do you get?

The pricing page also shows rough minutes of Text to Speech in the app for each plan:

  • Free: about 10 minutes a month.
  • Starter: about 30 minutes.
  • Creator: about 121 minutes.
  • Pro: about 600 minutes.
  • Scale: about 1,800 minutes.
  • Business: about 6,000 minutes.

Here is a quick way to check your needs. A 1,000 word script is about 6,000 characters, so it uses about 6,000 credits. That is my own estimate, since word length varies. On Starter, with 30k credits, that is about five scripts that size a month.

Tip: Write and edit your script before you generate. The FAQ says credits are charged per generation, not per download. Redoing a long script many times burns credits fast.

Do unused credits roll over?

Yes, on paid plans, with limits. The FAQ says unused credits roll over for up to two months. Your balance can reach at most 3x your monthly amount.

There are catches:

  • Rollover does not apply to the Free plan.
  • You must keep an active paid plan and not downgrade or cancel.
  • If you downgrade or cancel, unused credits are lost at the end of the cycle.

Credits reset on the day of the month you first subscribed.

Is yearly billing worth it?

The FAQ says yearly billing "works out to two months free." You pay for 10 months. Here is what that comes to per month on a yearly plan, checked October 22, 2026:

  • Starter: $5 per month, billed yearly.
  • Creator: $18.33 per month, billed yearly.
  • Pro: $82.50 per month, billed yearly.
  • Scale: $249.17 per month, billed yearly.
  • Business: $825 per month, billed yearly.

Plan cost math: Creator monthly is $22 x 12 = $264 a year. Yearly is $22 x 10 = $220. That saves $44. On Starter, it is $72 a year paid monthly or $60 paid yearly, a $12 savings. On Pro, it is $1,188 a year paid monthly or $990 paid yearly, which saves $198.

Only pay yearly once you know you will use the tool all year. If you are still testing, a few months on monthly billing is a cheap way to learn how many credits you really burn.

The first month deals

On October 22, 2026, the page showed two intro prices on monthly billing:

  • Starter: $1 for the first month, marked "Until Nov 1." After that, it is $6 per month.
  • Creator: $11 for the first month, then $22 per month.

These deals can change at any time. Check the page on the day you sign up.

Ways to make your credits last longer

These are habits that follow from how the FAQ says credits work. They are simple, and they add up.

  1. Test with a short line first. Try a new voice on one sentence. Only generate the full script once you like the sound.
  2. Fix the script, not the audio. Every new generation costs credits. Read your script out loud before you paste it in.
  3. Look for free redos. The FAQ says a limited number of free regenerations may be available if the text and certain settings stay the same. The app shows when a redo is free before you click.
  4. Watch the big users. Dubbing and Voice Changer cost far more per minute than plain speech. Check your balance before a big dubbing job.
  5. Keep your plan steady. Rollover only works while you stay on a paid plan. Downgrading in a slow month can wipe out what you saved.

You can see your remaining credits anytime on your subscription page, from your profile menu.

Which plan should you pick?

  • Just testing voices? Start on Free.
  • Making voiceovers for a business, a channel, or clients? Starter is the lowest plan with a commercial license.
  • Want a clone that really sounds like you? Creator adds Professional Voice Cloning.
  • Making hours of audio, or building an app? Look at Pro.
  • A team sharing one account? Scale or Business add seats.

Start one plan lower than you think. You can upgrade anytime, and the FAQ says unused credits carry over when you move up.

Cancel, upgrade, and payment rules

You can cancel anytime. Your plan stays active until the end of the billing cycle, then drops to Free. ElevenLabs accepts credit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
